Rainy Day Fun

It is so hard to entertain kids when it rains. One or two days, I can handle, but three, four, or FIVE like we had a few weeks ago, is just torture.

We tried to get creative. I searched through magazines for ideas after exhausting the usual house-bound entertainment. One of my favorite magazines for kid's crafts is Family Fun Magazine by Disney. We got this idea for an afternoon snack from last month's issue.

While Stryder was taking his nap, Abby and I had fun making Squid Dogs!!

Basically, you take 3 or 4 hot dogs and cut them into chunks. Then you take uncooked spaghetti noodles and stick them through. Put all the dogs into a pot of boiling water until the noodles are soft, and you have yourself a yummy snack!

Stryder woke up just in time, and the kids really enjoyed them.
He and Abby traded: She liked the noodles, and he liked the dogs. What a perfect pair.
